for yacht building began. As Dutchmen it gives us great pleasure to observe
how this tradition developed over the centuries into a world leading industry
driven more by technology of the future then the past.
As much as the current yacht building industry in Holland has its roots
in a long and distinguished history, it has always been the drive for innovation
that has given the Dutch shipyards a leading edge over their competition.
The concentration of so many shipyards has over time resulted in a supply
and sub contractor culture second to none. Working with leading research
institutes such as TU Delft, Marin and TNO adds further value to the skills
of Dutch yacht builders.
